While both Cheshire West & Chester and Wirral currently have access to Blacon and Landican Crematoriums, both facilities are operating above capacity. As such, there is an increasing and urgent need to develop a new facility to effectively meet the rising demand.

This necessity is emphasised by projections indicating that deaths in the area are forecast to increase by over 25% in the coming decades.

As our communities grow and age, it is crucial to ensure that infrastructure reflects needs, not only to provide respectful and timely services to families during challenging times but also to alleviate pressure on existing facilities, which in turn can then offer families greater choice and flexibility.
